Introduction: System 3 put out a game called Super Fruit Fall a few years ago. It isn't a very solid concept I would say now, but looking at the title now, is it simple pure garbage? Or does it deserve a second look.

GamePlay: The gameplay is very simple, you flip the level by 90 degrees, and each time you do that the fruit will fall from the place they were originally. Your goal is to move the fruit from whatever holes they are hiding in and then line them up, if you get a group of three or more fruit in a line they will disappear and you will get some points. To top it off each level has a time limit, and of course your mission is to finish each level in the allocated time to then move onto the next.

Control: You would think that the game controls would be restricted to just the Wii Remote, and that tilting the Wii Remote would be all you had to do to move the level by 90 degrees. It seems that was the optimum control style, but instead what players have to play the game is a Wii Remote + Nunchuk combination. To top it off you don't even have to use motion control to flip the level, there are buttons which do it for you if you really want. Also motion control wise it's a flick from either the Wii Remote or Nunchuk which changes the level by 90 degrees (Nunchuk does it Anti Clockwise, and the Wii Remote does it Clockwise).

Graphics: The graphics are interesting to say the least, there isn't much you could do with fruit graphic wise and overall it looks quite vector art like. The score system on the right of the screen is very big and balky and burns into plasmas quite easily and it gives the game a very nasty "free flash game" feeling to it. It also has some amazing backgrounds, ranging from a simple forest with sky to something which looks like Lego bricks. It also keeps the style going from the fruit and the graphics do look very vector, but there's a minus to this plus, while it does look nice it feels very amateurish and the polish on these background seems to be sliding off like dripping wet paint. It looks great yes, but what it really is shows through very badly like a house which needs another coat of paint, this game needed one before it was put to market.

Though also on the topic of graphics, the level design itself contains a "pipe" which holds the fruit, in most of the levels this is designed quite well and there are lots of interesting designs depending on the theme of the level.

Sound & Music: The sound effects and music makes the game feel very flash game like, though they are composed quite well, and players will zone in and out from them very easily. Some tracks could do with more thought into them, but others seem to fit quite well and are very nice music pieces.

Final Comments: It's a retail game which would of better suited itself for WiiWare. It could of also down with a little bit more polish to the games general look, but gameplay wise it's a quite solid game. The game is quite strategic and enjoyable but the game as a package seems unwanted, rushed and very shovel ware like.

Pro: Interesting Concept, Multiplayer
Con: Could of done better on Wiiware, More suited to download services then retail, Multiplayer might be a bonus but it comes down to who would play this game with you, the game is also quite short.
Final Score: 5.7
