TWO NEW REVIEWS FOR 2010

...and we're back and we hope you all had a Wonderful Christmas. It's 2010 now though and hopefully this year (and decade) will be just as exciting as the last. We're not expecting too many releases over the next few months but that gives us ample opportunity to finish off looking at all those titles, which hit the shelves late last year. And, for all you arcing fans out there, here are the first two...

We've become very used to EA releasing yet another outing, of their racing franchise, every year but Need for Speed: NITRO is the first which was produced exclusively for the Nintendo platforms. Andrew gets behind the wheel in his full review here.

We've already looked at the Wii version of Cars: Race-O-Rama but is this DS version (which is the third game released on the back of the movie) worth a look? Andrew takes it for a test drive here.

Just to say, when you click the link for the Nitro review, the text is that of the Cars Race-O-Rama review.

Curious about how it turned out on the DS as the Wii version is pretty good (review for that coming soon).

Very strange. We'll have to look into that.

I couldn't imagine the DS version was any good *checks* yeah pretty average.

EA should of just made Shift for the Wii and DS :/

I wouldn't want them to attempt Shift on either the Wii or DS. Granted, the Wii is still looking for a realistic racer but Shift is on another level that perhaps wouldn't be able to come close to replicating the experience on the Wii as it's so robust and well built on the 360/PS3 that it's hardly recogniseable as a Need for Speed game.

Nitro is good on the Wii though, although there are still quite a few things that need fleshed out but as a foundation layer for future titles, I think Nitro has the potential.
